The land’s history goes back to 1942 when villagers, called "Agong," began cultivating coconut trees and rice fields, creating a traditional village setting complete with rice barns and classic kampung houses. Located in mainland Penang just 14 kilometres (a 20-minute drive) from the Butterworth jetty terminal, Kampung Agong is a picturesque space surrounded by swaying coconut trees (there's an estimate of 500 trees here!) and traditional wooden kampung houses built on stilts.
